James Fawbush
Director in Development

“Broadcasting and radio are my passion. I have been working in broadcasting since 2008 when I landed a co-host position with NBC Radio. I co-hosted a weekly radio program on American Forces Network while deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I retired from the Army in 2016 and have a deep respect for our military. I love pitbulls, tacos and sweet tea, in that order.”

Macario Mora
Editor-in-Chief

“I’m an exercise, history and literature enthusiast who has a Ph.D. in backhanded compliments. I joined the USMC in 2002 and the Arizona Army National Guard in 2010. I deployed to Iraq with the 1st Marine Division in 2004 as a Photojournalist and to Guantanamo Bay from 2014-2015 as a Public Affairs Officer.”

Rick Hoppe
Creative Director

“I’m an 80s nerd at heart, but I love new technology, motorcycles, space and science. I joined the Arizona Army National Guard in 2010 and deployed to Guantanamo Bay as a Public Affairs Photojournalist. I’m working on my graduate degree and have been in visual communications for over eight years.”

Marc Martinez
Commercial & Editorial Photographer

“I spent six years on Destroyers in the Navy before retiring with the US Army. I’ve taken photos throughout my military career, attended college and then interned in the field. I worked in commercial and editorial areas and spent countless hours inside studios. My work has been published in many major magazines and numerous commercial jobs.”
